Creamy Italian Chicken

Creamy Italian Chicken
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 stick butter
1 pkg good seasons italian dressing mix (unprepared)
1/2 c water
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
3 c cooked rice

Put stick of butter in crock pot. Place chicken on top of butter. In a small bowl mix seasoning with water and pour over chicken. Cook on low for 8 hours, or high for 4 hours. When chicken is cooked through, shred chicken, then mix in cream cheese and soup. Serve over rice.

I got this recipe from a friend a while ago. We love it because it is so easy.

  1. I make something very similar. It has the chicken breast, 1 can chicken broth, 8 oz cream cheese, 1 packet of zesty italian dressing mix. It is so easy. Mix everything but the chicken together and put it all in the crock pot. Shred the chicken after about 5 hours and mix the whole pot with 8 oz of cooked thin spaghetti.

  2. I also sprinkle in a hefty helping of parmesan cheese when I mix it all together with the spaghetti.
