Halloween snack mix

about 20 (or more if you would like) Original Bugles
orange, yellow, and white candy melts.  (I got mine in the cake decorating isle in Walmart.  they didn't have orange chocolate melts so I just used the white and mixed in some orange fondant food coloring.)
1 bag buttered microwave popcorn, popped

3 cups mini pretzel
2 cups lightly salted, dry roasted peanuts
2 cups Rice Chex
1 cup M&Ms
1 cup candy corn
1 cup butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup

For the Bugle candy corns: melt chocolate(one color at a time allowing chocolate to melt in between) following the directions on the bag, dip the whole bugle in orange. lay on wax or parchment paper and allow to dry.  dip bottom 3rd in yellow. allow to dry. dip top 3rd in white. allow to dry. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 300°. Mix popped popcorn, pretzels, peanuts and Chex in a large bowl, set aside.  In a medium saucepan melt butter, sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and boil without stirring for 4 minutes.
Remove from heat and pour over your popcorn mixture. Transfer to a large baking pan and bake for 30 minutes stirring 3 every 10 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to a parchment lined counter. Sprinkle you M&M’s and candy corn on top and let cool. When cooled break into pieces.  while packaging add in the chocolate bugles but make sure it is completely cooled or they will melt all over!

I have been a pinterest junky lately... I mean BAD!!!  And we have been trying out a lot of fun recipes and crafts and I just keep adding onto my to-do list which I don't think will ever, ever, EVER end!  Anyway I was looking for a fun Halloween treat to take to the neighbors for this Halloween tradition (it explains the paper attatched to the jar) we've done since I was little. And I happened to come onto this yummy recipe.  I did add actual candy corns into it though;)  thanks to cookiesandcup and pinterest for bringing this yummy recipe to us today!!
