Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
1 Chocolate cake mix - make as directed
1 Recipe Peanut Butter Filling
Chocolate Frosting

Peanut Butter Filling
1 c powdered sugar
1 c creamy peanut butter
5 TBSP butter
3/4 t. vanilla
1/4 t salt
1/3 c whipping cream

Mix butter, peanut butter, vanilla and salt together. Then add whipping cream and powdered sugar.  Blend until smooth.  Once your chocolate cake is cool, fill it with the peanut butter filling and cover in chocolate frosting.

When we were in Alaska for my brothers wedding this summer, they had the most delicious wedding cake.  One of the layers was a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.  It was amazing.  For MaKady's birthday she thought it sounded good so after searching online this is the recipe we came up with.  It really was amazing.


Note: for this particular cake I baked the chocolate cake in 2 8-inch round pans.  Then when they were cool I cut each layer in half so in the end we had 4 layers of cake and 3 layers of peanut butter filling.  This is my favorite way to fill a cake, that way you get cake and filling in each bite.
