Play Dough
Play Dough
4 c flour
2 c salt
2 TBSP + 2 tsp cream of tartar
4 TBSP oil
4 c water
Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then add wet slowly to dry. Cook over medium heat stirring until it forms a ball. Let cool covered with a towel. Knead in a little more flour and color if desired. Store in a sealed container.
This is another one of my moms recipes. She use to make this all the time when we were little and we would play with it for hours. We made a 1/2 batch because it really does make a lot. Also we didn't color ours because I find its easier to just have 1 color, then my kids don't fight over colors and they don't mix them together.
