Spaghetti

Spaghetti Sauce

1 lb hamburger
1/2 c diced onion
1/2 c diced tomato
1 can tomato soup
2 cans (8oz) tomato sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp italian seasoning
1 TBSP sugar
salt & pepper

Brown hamburger, drain, set aside. In a saucepan put 2 TBSP of oil and sautee your onion and tomato until they cook down, then add tomato soup, tomato sauce and seasonings. If you want a thinner sauce add a little water.

I really dislike storebought sauces so I made up my own. I think the trick to a great sauce is the sugar. I know it sounds a little weird, but it really makes it taste great. Sometimes if I have company coming I add another can of tomato sauce and a little bit more seasoning.
